Dr. Dressler attended the University of Chicago School of Medicine graduating in 1964. Following his internship, he completed his residency at the Strong Memorial Hospital in 1968. After a fellowship year, he was invited to join the Yale University Department of Psychiatry faculty. Four years later he became Chief of Psychiatry at the New Britain General Hospital, a position he held for 19 years, while also serving as an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. For the past 26 years he has been in private practice currently in Roxbury, Connecticut. He is a board certified as well as a certified Jungian analyst. For the past 30 years he has been a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. His practice serves adults over the age of 40 in-depth Psychotherapy and spiritual development.
