Prior to working at Brar Family Dentistry, Dr. Yue owned and worked in a cosmetic dental practice with his wife, Silvia, in Southern California. In 2015, he and his family visited his aunt and cousins in New England and they immediately fell in love with New Hampshire. Upon their return from the trip, they made immediate plans to transition to the East Coast.
Growing up in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Dr. Yue remembers watching his father, a dentist, at the kitchen table, fabricating crowns and doing lab work. In the coming years, he would go on to graduate from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology, after which he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
He then joined the United States Navy for a one-year postgraduate residency for Advanced Education in General Dentistry, where he received intensive training in multiple dental specialties and advanced dental care. In 2009, he deployed to Afghanistan with the U.S. Marines to provide dental services and casualty care in Camp Dwyer. Upon his return, he transferred to Miramar Marine Corps Air Station, where he quickly developed a reputation as a skilled, gentle, and compassionate dentist.
In order to better serve his patients, Dr. Yue has completed over 500 hours of continuing education. This extra curriculum includes intense hands-on training in dental laser therapeutics, implants, CEREC, and Invisalign, as well as advanced techniques in oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontics.
With areas of expertise in laser dentistry, implant dentistry, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, Invisalign, orthodontics, prosthodontics, dental sleep medicine and more, he is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry. What’s more, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Association, and the California Dental Association.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Outside of the office, Dr. Yue enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children, Kylie and Rylan. He also enjoys running, fishing, hiking, paddleboarding, and cooking. His future goals include winning a regional BBQ competition someday.
