Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Gable is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgery (DFSVS), and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Remaining up to date in his field, he serves as the Chairman and Quality Committee Regional Representative for the Society of Vascular Surgery. He is also an active member of the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, the Peripheral Vascular Surgical Society, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the Society of Vascular Technology, the Texas Medical Association, the North Texas Chapter – American College of Surgeons, the Dallas County Medical Society, the Jesse E. Thompson Medical Society, and the Hiram C. Polk Jr, Surgical Society.
Among his other roles, Dr. Gable is the Vice Chairman of Surgery, Chief of Vascular Surgery, Chairman of the Peer Review Committee, and Member of the Medical Executive Committee at Baylor Regional Medical Center. He is also the Director of the Vascular Center of Excellence, Chief of Vascular Surgery, and serves on the Board of Directors and Medical Leadership Board at the Baylor Plano Heart Hospital.
As for his academic appointments, he is the Director of Medical Student Education in Vascular Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center for University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
