FindaTopDoc is proud to welcome Dr. Martin C. Mihm, Jr., MD, to their prestigious organization with his forthcoming publication in FindaTopDoc.. Currently, Dr. Mihm serves as owner and director of Mihm Cutaneous Pathology Consultative Service (MCPCS) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and is affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital. With over fifty-seven years of experience, Dr. Mihm brings a wide array of expertise in dermatology, pathology, melanoma, tumors, and other problematic conditions of the skin.
After earning his medical degree in 1961 at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Dr. Mihm completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai, followed by his dermatology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and his pathology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Premedical Studies from Duquesne University. Dr. Mihm is triple board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology in dermatology, pathology, and dermatopathology.
Having seen over 300,000 consults, Dr. Mihm’s expertise covers problematic pigmented lesions, problematic lesions of lymphoma, and issues relating to inflammatory diseases of the skin. Dr. Mihm has co-authored numerous articles and several books concerning skin pathology, has set up clinics in Vietnam, Moscow, India, and Albany, and has served 5,000 children in his free clinic, helping them with various vascular anomalies. He plans to open additional medical clinics in Croatia and Paraguay.
Additionally, Dr. Mihm serves as Director of the Melanoma Program in Dermatology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Associate Director of Dana-Farber and Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. In order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in his field, he maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Physicians. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Apart from his medical career, Dr. Mihm enjoys classical music in his spare time and cites the New England Journal of Medicine as his favorite publication.
