Dr. Fluhme is an established orthopedic surgeon with over 22 years of experience in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and joint replacement. Serving patients since 2008, he joined Sports Medicine & Joint Replacement Specialists at the beginning of 2021, and is affiliated with Advanced Surgical Hospital, St. Clair Hospital, and Radiance Surgery Center.
Sports Medicine & Joint Replacement Specialists provide orthopedic services, orthopedic treatment, and orthopedic surgery at three convenient locations in Greensburg, Pittsburgh, and Warrendale, Pennsylvania.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Fluhme received his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, and went on to receive his Master of Science degree and medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic.
An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
Over the years, he served as the Team Physician for multiple local high school sports teams and was also the Team Physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Sparks, and Kings.
