“We want to help you see that life can be an authentic and fulfilling adventure. Our office is a place in which you can explore the roots of your emotions without fear or distractions. We’ll work hard to make sure you’re satisfied and comfortable.” as stated on her website.
In addition to emphasizing stress management and pain management with a chronic illness population, Dr. La Flamme has worked with various chronic illness groups, including diabetics, cardiac patients, gastroenterology patients, cancer patients, and patients with multiple sclerosis. She has had privileges at the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and Jupiter Medical Center since 1997, as well as has worked professionally with disabled people for four years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor.

Today, after a long physical rehabilitation, she is 95% healed. “I have a rare perspective in my field because I have been a vocational rehabilitation counselor, a clinical rehabilitation psychologist, and a long-term chronic pain patient. This perspective enables me to make a unique and valuable contribution to clinical psychology” as stated by the doctor.

She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Fordham University and a Master of Science degree in Social Psychology from Yale University.

Clinical psychology is a broad branch of psychology that focuses on diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Some of the more common disorders that might be treated include depression and anxiety. Clinical psychologists meet with patients to identify problems, emotional, mental, and behavioral, in their lives. Through observation and interviews, the psychologist will diagnose any existing or potential disorders. Then, together with the patient, they formulate a program of treatment according to the patient’s needs.
Attributing her success to empathy, Dr. La Flamme’s favorite place to vacation in Florida. Her favorite professional publication is the American Psychological Association – Monitor on Psychology.
Outside of the office, she enjoys watching movies and listening to music.
