A board-certified radiologist, Dr. Bhosale is affiliated with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, she nurtures the next generation of radiologists. Her role as a clinical Co-Director of the Quantitative Imaging lab (QIAC) and the Co-Chair of the Diagnostic Radiology Peer Research Review Committee solidifies her influence in shaping the direction of the field. 

Back in the early days of her academic career, the doctor’s early years were marked by clinical internships, each presenting a unique medical environment. The Urban Internship at Chhatrapati Pramila Raje Hospital, Kolhapur, in 1995-1996, provided insights into the complexities of urban healthcare, while the Rural Internship at Primary Health Care Center, Shiroli, in 1995-1995, exposed her to the challenges of healthcare delivery in rural settings. Moreover she pursued a Surgery Internship at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston, TX, in 1999-2000. In Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania Health Science System, Philadelphia, she embarked on a Clinical Residency in Radiology from 2000 to 2004. Finally, her commitment to refining her expertise is evident in her pursuit of a Clinical Fellowship in Body Imaging at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2004 to 2005. Her educational journey culminated in 2023 with the attainment of an MBA from Rice University, Houston which helped her understand accounting, business strategies, leadership skills and organizational behavior.

Following her training, in 2004 Dr. Bhosale attained board certification in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. Established in 1934, the American Board of Radiology (ABR) is an independent, not-for-profit professional association with headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. It oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of physician specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and radiation oncology, as well as medical physicists in diagnostic, nuclear, and therapy medical physics.

Among her professional affiliations, the doctor is an active member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), a Fellow of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR), and a Fellow of the Society of Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (SCBT-MR).

Dr. Bhosale extensive body of work includes the authorship and co-authorship of over 250 peer-reviewed article and more than 150 abstracts and scientific exhibits at National and International conferences. Her expertise particularly shines in the realm of body imaging for gynecologic and pancreatic malignancies, where her insights have significantly advanced the diagnosis and treatment.

As a testament to her success, her collaborative spirit is evident through her involvement in 11 funded projects with a total value exceeding $3.6 million. Notably, she serves as the principal investigator on 5 funded research protocols, and The National Science Foundation awarded her a $50,000 grant for her study titled “Novel Applicator for MR Imaging.” 

The doctor’s contributions have been featured in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Radiology (AJR), Radiographics, Radiology, Neuroendocrinology, Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography (JCAT), The British Journal of Radiology (BJR), and Abdominal Imaging. Her research on gynecologic and pancreatic malignancies has not only expanded the horizons of medical understanding but has also paved the way for improved patient care.
