Dr. Khan’s academic journey began with an undergraduate pre-med degree from Lucknow Christian College, followed by medical school at King George’s Medical College in 1982. He further honed his expertise with a fellowship in Clinical Immunology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. His commitment to advancing medical knowledge led him to complete seven years of post-graduate studies at Harvard University in Cancer Epidemiology with Physicians’ Health Study and Nurses’ Health Study, focusing on cancer prevention and treatment strategies many of which have become standard of care in oncology clinics all over the world and remain the first-in-line benefiting our patients for years to come.

In addition to his clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Khan has been actively involved in public service and took the initiative on health care reform at Harvard Business School at the prompting of a Rhodes Scholar, Dr. Pasricha, an idea championed by the First Lady Hillary Clinton. Dr. Khan was twice nominated for the New Jersey State Senate in 2007 and 2011, aiming to influence healthcare policy and advocacy for the reduction of healthcare costs through preventive measures for alcohol and drug abuse in youth with MADD and John Dewey’s ideas of progressive education with NJEA. Although he was not elected, his campaigns highlighted his dedication to improving public health and healthcare accessibility and reducing the carbon footprint.

Currently based in Parsippany, NJ, Dr. Khan continues to contribute to the field of immuno-oncology through his research and professional endeavors. His work exemplifies a commitment to advancing cancer treatment and prevention, with a focus on innovative approaches to immunotherapy and personalized medicine.
