Upon relocating to the United States, he completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1995, followed by two consecutive fellowships in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology at the same educational venue in 1998 and 1999, respectively.
In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Maintaining fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS).
