Dr. Harlamert received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1983. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Indiana University Hospitals in Indianapolis in 1986, followed by his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky in 1989.
Dr. Harlamert is board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
