Dr. Ughwanogho is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric deformity-scoliosis, kyphosis, spine trauma as well as cervical, thoracic and lumbar degenerative conditions, including use of cervical/lumbar disc replacement and minimally invasive techniques. He works at The CORE Institute in Gilbert, Arizona.

He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2011, and received dual fellowship training in adult orthopaedic spine and spine deformity at Texas Back Institute in 2013. During this period, he gained experience in complex deformity and revision spine surgery. 

With a vision of excellence in patient care, he is board-certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

Licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Dr. Ughwanogho is affiliated with Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Banner Desert Medical Center, Banner Estrella Medical Center, Banner Gateway Medical Center, Banner Ironwood Medical Center, Banner Boswell Medical Center, and Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center.

In addition to having authored several articles and book chapters, he is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and AO Spine.
