Dr. Shah has been practicing dentistry for more than a decade. During her years of practice, she has kept herself up to date on all of the latest dental techniques and procedures. She has the experience, superlative skills and demeanor that patients look for in a dentist.
Dr. Shah is currently serving patients at Smiles-R-Us, her own private dental practice located in San Jose, California. With a focus on aesthetic, restorative and preventative dentistry, Dr. Shah has upgraded herself and her dental office to utilizing the latest technologies in the field of dentistry.
In 2002, Dr. Shah received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth University in Pune, India. After relocating to the United States, she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Illinois in 2009.
Dr. Shah is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Santa Clara Dental Association, the Contra Costa Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Shah is involved in the community and participates in “Give Kids A Smile”, “Save Our Kids Smiles” and dental sealant programs. She strongly believes that prevention at an early age is better than a cure.
A general dentist, like Dr. Shah, is a patient’s primary care dental provider. They diagnose, treat, and manage overall oral health care needs, including gum care, root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, and preventive education.
Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance (though not necessarily the functionality) of teeth, gums and/or bite. As both a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Shah strives to provide accurate, high quality and personalized dental care. She has received specialized training in InvisAlign, ClearCorrect, dental implants, dentures, conscious sedation, TMJ and several other dental procedures.
Dr. Shah is a mother of three beautiful kids: a 4-year-old daughter and 9-month-old twins (a boy and a girl). She and her husband love to spend time with their children and to travel around the world. Dr. Shah also enjoys teaching painting to children, reading fiction and romantic novels, as well as socializing with friends.
