An enthusiastic researcher, Dr. Myers is the research director for the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Division at Atrium Health. Her areas of research include robot-assisted surgery, minimally invasive prolapse and incontinence treatments, surgical techniques and efficiency. She has obtained multiple grants to support and advance research in the field.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

As a testament to her success, Dr. Myers has received numerous awards, including 1st place in the international surgical competition from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She has been named a Physician of the Quarter at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, nominated for a Teal Acorn Tree of Life Innovator Award, and has received multiple teaching awards.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking and water sports with her husband, as well as practicing yoga and trying new recipes with friends.
