An enthusiastic researcher, Dr. Myers is the research director for the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Division at Atrium Health. Her areas of research include robot-assisted surgery, minimally invasive prolapse and incontinence treatments, surgical techniques and efficiency. She has obtained multiple grants to support and advance research in the field.
Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
As a testament to her success, Dr. Myers has received numerous awards, including 1st place in the international surgical competition from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
