Whalen is an established Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Coach who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in congenital heart disease.

Ruby’s career in nursing began graduating with her Nursing Degree from the University of Winnipeg. An advocate for pursuing further education, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, followed by her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a Nursing Education concentration. Throughout her career, she has completed a number of advanced training courses, and is committed to keeping current with the new developments, guidelines, and procedures in nursing.

Ruby is a distinguished member of the Association for Nursing Professional Development, the American Holistic Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the International Transplant Nurses Society, and the National Nurses in Business Association. She has dedicated her life to providing high quality care, and attributes her success to her passion for education and learning new things to improve things for herself, other nurses, and her patients.
