Dr. Conte, a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, as well as total shoulder replacement. At present, he practices at Rothman Orthopaedic Institute with offices throughout the state of New Jersey, including Mercerville, Pennington, and Princeton.

After earning his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Conte went on to complete both his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Thereafter, he completed his fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He has served as a team physician at Princeton, Rutgers, the University of Virginia, and James Madison University.
Building on that experience, he became board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
The doctor’s clinical interests include shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthritis, ACL and PCL reconstruction, multi-ligament knee injuries, as well as cartilage and meniscal repair. He has a special interest in cartilage and meniscal transplant procedures, as well as patella dislocations. What’s more, he has published on numerous aspects of sports medicine, including rotator cuff repairs, ACL reconstructions, and cartilage restoration.
