After medical school, Dr. Hurwitz completed his internship with the Los Angeles County General Medical Center in California, followed by his residency at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. Pursuing advanced medical training, he then undertook his fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
