Dr. Robert A. Knuppel is a highly respected and experienced physician, having been in practice for over four decades. He attended the Rutgers- University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School, acquiring his Medical Degree in 1973. After medical school, Dr. Knuppel completed his residency at New England Medical Center, followed by his fellowship at Tufts University. Moreover, he also earned his Master of Public Health Degree from the Harvard School of Public Health, and his Master of Business Administration Degree from the New York Institute of Technology. Dr. Knuppel achieved a certificate in Lean Six Sigma from Villanova University. He is currently applying the Lean process to improving efficiency and improving patient safety.
Dual board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Knuppel has become internationally noted for his expertise in maternal and fetal medicine. He provides diagnosis and treatment for a wide array of conditions, including high risk pregnancy, placenta previa,diabetes, and a number of health issues related to the vagina, uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and breasts. Moreover, Dr. Knuppel is a recognized expert in women’s health, high risk obstetrics, the female reproductive system, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
Dr. Knuppel is the co-author of three textbooks and over 170 peer-reviewed articles and papers, and has also served as Chair of Obstetrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Medical School, as well as Dean for Faculty Affairs at Drexel Medical School. He has a wealth of experience in maternal-fetal medicine, academia, and forensic medicine, and he combines all these fields to great effect in his role as an independent consultant.
