Michelle A. Nieves, PT, DPT, CFCE, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and owner of Maximum Function. Dr. Nieves specializes in industrial rehabilitation and the performance of Functional Capacity Evaluations. She practices physical therapy in an outpatient private practice setting delivering clinically excellent care to clients of all ages, abilities and socioeconomic backgrounds with various orthopedic and neurological conditions. She is fluent in Spanish and is actively involved in supporting youth athletics, health fairs and community outreach. Dr. Michelle A. Dr. Michelle A. Nieves is a highly respected and experienced physical therapist, having been in practice for over 19 years. After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences in 1997 at Syracuse University, she completed her Master of Professional Studies Degree in Physical Therapy in 1999 from the Upstate Medical University at Syracuse. Pursuing further education, Dr. Nieves remained at the Upstate Medical University, graduating with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2007. She later actively sought advanced certification to become an Occupro Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator.
Dr. Nieves is determined to enhance her patients’ quality of life by providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. Throughout her years of experience, she has accrued knowledge and expertise in functional capacity evaluations, work hardening, work conditioning, orthopedics, home safety, and geriatric care. With a passion for her work, Dr. Nieves also provides quality assessments, reporting on a client’s level of disability and employability for claims representatives, case managers, physicians, attorneys, and employers.
Dedicated to keeping current with the new developments and guidelines in her field, Dr. Nieves remains a distinguished member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Association of Professional Women.
