Dr. Janet O. Hon, MD, FCAP is a highly trained and qualified Pathologist with an extensive expertise in fine needle aspiration and cytopathology. Dr. Hon has been in practice for more than two decades and is currently serving patients as Assistant Director of Cytopathology at Southeastern Pathology Associates located in Brunswick, Georgia. She is additionally affiliated with several local hospitals, including the Southeast Georgia Health System and Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Janet O. Hon was educated at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She has been board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. Alongside her renowned career in the field of pathology, she has also enjoyed an acclaimed naval career, and was awarded a Navy Commendation Medal for her exemplary service at the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa.
To keep up to date with the latest advances in her field, Dr. Hon maintains a professional membership with the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the International Academy of Pathology, the American Society of Cytology, the Florida Medical Association, and the Georgia Association of Pathologists. When she is not assisting patients, Dr. Hon enjoys listening to and playing music, including the flute, singing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
