Family Nurse Practitioner, JoAnn Romanzi  Herne, is currently the Owner & sole proprietor of Creative Health Education & Consultation. At Creative Health Education & Consultation,  JoAnn coordinates and teaches women’s health clinical skills for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants within LeMoyne College and Physician Assistants with Clarkson University. She also teaches these skills to Medical students, Physician’s Assistants and Nurse Practitioners from Upstate Medical University as well as Sexual Assault Nurse Practitioners for several agencies in NYS.  Additionally, she has lectured on Women’s Health issues & Surgical Management of Obesity at local, state, & national conferences.

JoAnn graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University in 1974, giving her over four decades of experience in the health field. Furthering her education, she graduated with her Master of Science Degree in maternal-child nursing as a clinical nurse specialist, as well as her Post-Masters Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification from Syracuse University  and Post-Masters Family Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Upstate Medical College of Nursing.

To stay up to date in her field, she remains a professional member of the Syracuse University Nurses Alumni Association and the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association.

JoAnn chose a career in nursing as she was always interested in the healthcare field.  She was able to witness the differences in medical and nursing care while in HS & chose nursing over medicine. She has never regretted that decision
