Franklin A. Dentremont grew up in Maine. He attended Boston University on a scholarship and continued his education to obtain his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine – which he did in 1980.
Dr. Dentremont is an active member of the American Dental Association, where he also serves as a delegate. He has been honored with numerous awards, including the position as President of the Penobscot Dental Society. He is a highly respected dentist who has over 38 years of experience and is currently serving patients at his private practice, Dentremont Dental Services, PC, which opened its doors in 2015.
Dr. Dentremont has vast expertise in several areas relating to his line of work, especially Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry. Cosmetic Dentistry refers to any dental work that improves the appearance of teeth, gums and/or bite, while Restorative Dentistry refers to the study, diagnosis, and management of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures. He specializes in various services (bridges, crowns, implants, dentures, root canals, and veneers) and has cared for underserved children throughout the state of Alabama, including Mobile, Montgomery, and Dothan. Dr. Dentremont attributes his success to his parents, who were both college graduates and dedicated family leaders. In his spare time, he enjoys diving and cycling.
