Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Besides serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Wright has been the team physician for several USAF teams and Olympic development teams. He practiced medicine for several years in Provo, Utah, before moving to West Virginia.
