Gail Pezzullo-Burgs, MD, FACOG, is a practicing physician, visionary and leading authority in the field of women’s health and wellness. For more than three decades, Dr. Pezzullo-Burgs has provided exceptional care for women and their babies. From conception and delivery to menopause transition and beyond, Dr. Pezzullo-Burgs has given care to south Florida women, proudly caring for women at all stages of their lives. Now, in her gynecology practice, Dr. Gail’s empowering approach to the modern practice of gynecology and women’s health reflects her philosophy. When it comes to healthcare, one size does not fit all. Women thrive and are vibrant when their health is treated from a holistic perspective. In her practice today, Dr. Gail combines traditional medicine with alternative and complementary medicine. Her patients get the best of both worlds.

Dr. Pezzullo-Burgs provides this type of individualized, comprehensive and compassionate care, which is often lacking in today’s medical practices. She accomplishes this by following a multidisciplinary approach, leveraged by the latest testing and by collaborating with like-minded healthcare providers in our community in order to provide her patients with the finest medical care.
A native of Connecticut, she moved to Florida in 1978 and accepted a position as Hospital Pharmacist and eventually Assistant Director of Pharmacy at what is now Memorial Hospital Pembroke. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami in 1983. Upon graduation, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Gail began practicing in Pembroke Pines, Florida, in 1987 and later opened offices in Sunrise and Plantation. In 2004, she expanded into Palm Beach County with an office in Boca Raton, Florida. She currently has two offices-one in Boca Raton and one in Weston. Dr. Gail has received extensive training in complementary and integrative medicine as well as aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Gail also has a thriving aesthetics and wellness practice that incorporates hormone replacement and holistic treatments. She performs a number of aesthetic procedures, from laser hair removal to Botox injections and offers numerous advanced skincare services. Treatment of the entire person is the key to overall wellness.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
