Dr. Alvin H. Arzt is a highly trained and qualified Dentist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work, especially one visit root canals, surgical removal of impacted teeth, and general dentistry. Dr. Arzt is a well versed dentist, having maintained his own private practice in Levittown, Pennsylvania for over six decades. He was the first dentist in Levittown. Presently, he serves as Treasurer of the American Endodontic Society, a position he has held since 1974, and is a staff member emeritus with Delaware Valley Medical Center. He founded and was first President of the American Endodontic Society in 1969.
Dr. Arzt’s career in dentistry began in 1952, when he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Temple University School of Dentistry, now known as the Kornberg School of Dentistry. Since graduating, he has completed many advanced training courses while practicing dentistry. To stay current with the latest advances in dentistry, he remains a professional member of the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Society, of which he served as the President. He is a life member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and a life member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Arzt was the first dentist in the United States to introduce the one visit root canal procedure and practice, as well as the first dentist to bring Mechanical Preparation of root canals to the United States from Europe.
Throughout his acclaimed career, Dr. Arzt has earned the coveted titles of Master of the American Endodontic Society, and Fellow of the International College of Dentists, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Society of Dentistry for Children, the Academy of Dentistry International, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He recently received the Dentist of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist Association. He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, has presented lectures both nationally and internationally, and has been published extensively for his important work in dentistry. Dr. Arzt attributes his success to his knowledge of all phases of dentistry and medicine, his accepting personality, and his desire to make others smile. He is recently retired from Dentistry.
