Dr. Curatola, also known as Dr. Gerry, is an internationally recognized biologic restorative dentist with more than 35 years of clinical experience. He is the founder of Rejuvenation Dentistry – a multi-specialty integrative dental practice in New York City based on the principles of bioregulatory healthcare. “Rejuvenation Dentistry® is not just about looking younger; it is about living longer. Dr. Curatola is nationally recognized for his smile makeovers and philosophy on total body wellness through the importance of the mouth-body-spirit connection” as stated on the practice’s website.
Dr. Curatola studied neuroscience at Colgate University and attended dental school at the New York University College of Dentistry where he now serves as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care.
As a pioneer in the biologic approach to restorative & cosmetic dentistry in the mid-1980’s, Dr. Curatola consulted in the research and development of many biocompatible restorative materials used today. He is the co-inventor and co-developer of Revitin – a prebiotic naturopathic toothpaste.
Dr. Curatola serves on the Fellowship Committee for the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine and the Advisory Board of the Bioregulatory Medicine Institute. He is also a member of the International Academy of Biologic Dentistry & Medicine, the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Curatola dedicated the Curatola Wing for Clinical Research at New York University to promote translational research in 2006, and he has more than 20 years of oral microbiome research experience.
Following a lifelong model of humanitarian service from his parents and grandparents, Curatola has been committed to charitable work and contributions for most of his youth and adult life. As a dentist, he has traveled to five continents to provide dental services in areas that are under served, as well as to educate and equip other dental professionals to do the same.
Dr. Curatola has lectured internationally to over 10,000 dentists on adhesive dentistry, the application of porcelain veneers, advanced composite technologies, and all ceramic restorations in more than 12 countries, including China and India. He supported the clinical introduction of CAD/CAM dentistry (3-D printing), and studied with CEREC inventor, Dr. Werner Mormann, at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He was among the first CEREC 1 users in clinical practice in the United States in 1993.
Dr. Curatola is listed in the Guide to America’s Top Dentists, the Leading Physicians of the World, and Top Dentists of New York. He is the recipient of the Acton Medal at NYU for outstanding contributions to the University. Dr. Curatola’s new book, The Mouth-Body Connection, released by Hachette Publishing, 2017, explores the bi-directional relationship behind oral health and systemic wellness. A television series based on this is under development.

Dr. Curatola attributes his success to his vision and determination, as well as to building a successful team around him. Dr. Curatola met his wife, Georgia Ann Condzal, at NYU while finishing dental school. They were married shortly after his graduation in 1983. They have three children together.
