Board-certified rheumatologist, Dr. Del Giudice, is currently serving patients at Rheumatology Center of Princeton in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She established this rheumatology group in 1999 with an aim to combine an interest in women’s health issues with a dedication to providing in-depth treatment for autoimmune diseases. Now, she works alongside Dr. Michael J. Froncek, MD, caring for patients with the complex and changing nature of rheumatic diseases.
Among her numerous professional roles, she is a Senior Attending at Penn Medicine Princeton Health and serves as the Section Chief of Rheumatology. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers Medical School, an ISCD Certified Bone Densitometrist, as well as a member of The Board of Trustees of Rheuminations, Inc. and the Asch Family Foundation Funding Education and Research in Autism.
In regards to her educational background, Dr. Del Giudice received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Mount Holyoke College, where she graduated summa cum laude in 1982. There, she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi, as well as named a Mary Lyons and Sarah Williston Scholar. In 1986, she earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, New York and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1989.
From 1989 until 1990, Dr. Del Giudice was Chief Medical Resident at Mount Sinai. Thereafter, she completed a three-year fellowship in rheumatic diseases at the Hospital for Special Surgery, followed by a fellowship in clinical research at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center. While at the Hospital for Special Surgery, she was a recipient of the Lupus Foundation Grant.
Among her many achievements, she received research grants to study the immunology of childhood psychiatric diseases while at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she served as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry from 1995 until 1998. She also served as an Attending Physician at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and was a practicing member of University Medical Group in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (FACR) and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
