Gloreen M. Heft, BS-HCA, LPN: Shaping Healthcare with Dedication and Resilience
A Veteran’s Journey: From Aspiring Child Psychologist to Licensed Practical Nurse
Madison, Wisconsin – Integrity Residential Services is proud to announce the continued dedication of Gloreen M. Heft, BS-HCA, LPN, as the Nursing Support Manager. With extensive expertise in behavioral health support services, Gloreen provides vital nursing support across the Madison, Waukesha, and Fond du Lac areas, focusing on adult developmental, physical, and mental health home health services.
Gloreen’s journey in healthcare began at St. Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas, where she completed her Vocational Nursing program in 1993. Her passion for health care led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Presentation College in 2021. With over three years of experience in a child psychiatric center and significant roles in forensic psychiatry, acute psychiatry, and methadone/ADOA clinics, Gloreen brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her current role.
Joining Integrity Residential Services in 2012 as a case manager, Gloreen quickly advanced into training and nursing support roles, demonstrating her dedication and capability in the field. Her commitment to service was further honed during her time in the U.S. Army at Ft. Sam Houston, where she distinguished herself as both class leader and platoon sergeant for multiple shifts. These experiences have shaped her into a resilient and resourceful leader in nursing support.
At the age of 12, Gloreen set her sights on becoming a child psychologist, a dream initially hindered by discouraging comments regarding her height. However, the Army provided her with a unique opportunity to pursue her LPN certification while serving in the Reserves, paving the way for her to achieve her professional aspirations. Today, she stands as a role model for others, demonstrating that determination and hard work can overcome obstacles.
Gloreen attributes her success to the invaluable lessons learned during her military service, which fostered her ability to think creatively and maintain a steadfast focus on her goals. She believes that her achievements are also a reflection of the collaborative spirit of the teams she has been privileged to work with throughout her career.
