He completed his fellowship in abdominal imaging at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology-Washington University. He also holds a PhD in nuclear engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1988.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, the doctor is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Dane County Medical Society.
Furthermore, he is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a non-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
The author of 18 published scientific articles and 5 book chapters, Dr. Bennett has held 30 presentations at scientific meetings in the area of radiology. He has also won several awards throughout his line of work, including the Hounsfield Award by the Society of Computed Body Tomography, the Editor’s Award for Distinction in Reviewing, and the Resident Teaching Award by the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, among others.
