A seasoned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bade III founded Professional Orthopedic Associates in 1985, seeing patients in Tinton Falls, Toms River, and Freehold, New Jersey. He specializes in shoulder, knee, hand, wrist, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and joint replacement.
After completing his Bachelor of Science degree at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, he earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He then went on to complete both his internship and residency in general surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
Subsequently, Dr. Bade III underwent advanced fellowship training in shoulder and hand surgery at the Hospital of Special Surgery, and a visiting fellowship in hand surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Maintaining fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS).
Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Bade III is an active member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the New Jersey Orthopedic Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the North American Arthroscopy Association, and serves as a Delegate at the American Orthopedic Sports Medicine Society.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
