Dr. Cordas, Jr.’s career in medicine began in 1967, when he graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, he completed his residency training with Community General Osteopathic Hospital. Dr. Cordas, Jr. is dual board certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine, and he has earned the coveted titles of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
To keep current in his field, Dr. Cordas, Jr. remains a distinguished member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sport Medicine, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. Moreover, he is the Medical Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program at UPMC Pinnacle. Dr. Cordas, Jr. has dedicated his life to providing high quality care to his patients, and he attributes his success to being a past participant in sports and receiving injuries himself.
