Highly Skilled Nurse and Healthcare Consultant, Sharon Mathis, RN, BSN, MPA, FIBA, SMQT
Sharon Mathis, RN, BSN, MPA, FIBA, SMQT, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse with many years of experience in the nursing arena. Sharon is currently serving patients as a Nurse and Healthcare Consultant for Sandwichcare in Texas, where she explains the healthcare system, provides information, assists with problem resolution, coaches as needed, and helps people find great healthcare facilities for their loved ones.
Sharon graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University and completed her Master of Public Administration Degree from Texas Southern University. Throughout her career, Sharon has worked in many areas of the nursing field, from being a caregiver to being an executive in healthcare. She has authored The Healthcare Facility Locator, a book that helps people evaluate and find a facility for their loved one, which can be purchased on Amazon.com.
Sharon’s experience with direct patient care along with healthcare administration allows her to have a big picture perspective when assessing programs and processes. Whatever the challenge, Sharon continues to identify opportunities, remove roadblocks, and retain focus on the ultimate stakeholders. For her wealth of experience and dedication to her work, she is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including having been named Nurse of the Year by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Eta Delta Chapter. She has also been named a Top Nurse in the Houston area and was recognized by Whos Who in American Nursing. She is a former Columnist and board member for the Houston Chronicle and President and as well as a former board member for Houston’s Texas Nurses Association, an affiliate of the American Nurses Association.
