He attended the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) School of Medicine in Mexico and graduated in 1979. Upon returning to the United States, he completed the fifth pathway program at the SUNY at Buffalo Medical School and subsequently obtained a medical degree from the State of New York. He pursued his residency in general surgery at the Millard Fillmore Hospital, and served as Chief Resident for his last two years (1984-1985). He then joined the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed his residency in plastic surgery in 1988.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in plastic surgery through the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Placing an emphasis on compassionate and comprehensive patient care, he earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
In addition to his work in private practice, he is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, and serves as an attending plastic surgeon at Peconic Bay Medical Center, and St. Catherine of Sienna Medical Center.
In an effort to remain at the forefront of his field, Dr. Warm is a professional member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
