Being a well-established, board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Wolcott has special interests in mid-life and later-life well being, sexual dysfunction issues, as well as hereditary cancer screening and prevention. He has been with WomanCare Centers PLC in Norfolk, Virginia since 1991, and is affiliated with its division, Mid-Atlantic Women’s Care, PLC. 

Recognized as an authority in his field, the doctor is a member of the medical staff at Depaul Medical. He is active on the Executive Board of Mid-Atlantic Women’s Care and is a Board Member of U.S. Women’s Health Alliance.

A member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. 

Back in 1976, Dr. Wolcott graduated from the United States Naval Academy, where he was a Trident Scholar. He then received a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Princeton University as a Guggenheim Fellow. Thereafter, he was a Naval Aviator in Fighter Squadrons 101 and 14 and later a test pilot at the Naval Air Test Center. He retired from the Navy as a Captain in the Medical Corps.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1979 when he earned his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. 

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
