Alabama – Leslie Vaughn, RN, a dedicated nursing professional, is proud to celebrate his successful career spanning over a decade in the healthcare field. Graduating with an Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree in Registered Nursing from Gadsden State Community College in 2010, Leslie has built a distinguished career marked by his unwavering commitment to patient care and continuous professional development.
Beginning his journey as a Cardiac Rehab RN at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, in June 2010, Leslie dedicated over six years to providing exemplary care to cardiac patients. His experience in this critical area of nursing laid a strong foundation for his future pursuits. In January 2016, he transitioned to Dekalb Regional Medical Center in Fort Payne, Alabama, where he served as a Staff Nurse for a year and a half, further honing his clinical skills.
In April 2018, Leslie took on a new challenge as a Case Manager at Kindred Healthcare, where he coordinated patient care and discharge planning for two and a half years. This role allowed him to expand his expertise in patient advocacy and care coordination. Returning to DeKalb Regional Medical Center in September 2020, Leslie resumed bedside nursing as a Registered Nurse and was soon promoted to Charge Nurse in September 2021, demonstrating his leadership abilities and commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
Most recently, in September 2022, Leslie joined AMN Healthcare as a Travel Registered Nurse. This role has allowed him to bring his extensive experience and adaptability to various healthcare facilities across the United States, enriching his professional journey and contributing to diverse communities.
Leslie is adept in Palliative Care, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and serves as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS courses. His commitment to continuous learning and teaching underscores his dedication to the nursing profession.
Above all, Leslie attributes his success to the unwavering support of his wife and daughter, who have been his pillars of strength throughout his career.
