This was followed by a fellowship in rheumatology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1982, and an additional fellowship in rheumatology at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in 1983.
A Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, he is board-certified in rheumatology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.
