Born in Nottingham, United Kingdom, he graduated with his medical degree from the Dow Medical College in India in 1992. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, and was awarded the Best Resident of the Year Award in 1997.
Subsequently, Dr. Tahir joined the Fremont Medical Center, later HealthCare Partners, and served as the Medical Director from 2002-2015. During his tenure at HealthCare Partners, he was a member of the Leadership Committee and the Credentialing Committee. He was also named a Top Doctor of Las Vegas in 2004 and 2007.
An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
