A determined endocrinologist, Dr. Stanciu works as a metabolic bone disease specialist at Morning Star Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disorders.
A native of Romania, Dr. Stanciu graduated with her medical degree from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania in 1991. She then went on to complete her residency in general medicine at the Fundeni Clinical Hospital in Bucharest, Romania in 1997. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in 2000. Finally, she completed her fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the Loyola University Medical Center – Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois in 2008, after completing her service in an underserved area in Mountain Home, Idaho.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE), Dr. Stanciu is board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism, as well as internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Continuously advancing her efforts, she is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, the International Society for Clinical Densitometry, the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, the National Osteoporosis Foundation, and the Endocrine Society.
