As a respected leader in the field of immunology, Dr. Melamed has dedicated the last two decades in researching the connection between the immune system and the nervous system. With over 25 years of experience in clinical research, he has served as a Principal Investigator on over 250 trials.
Dr. Melamed is currently serving patients at IMMUNOe Health and Research Centers, which remain on the forefront of immune related health and research. IMMUNOe Research Centers focus on assisting the development and evaluation of the next generation of medical therapies, while IMMUNOe Health Centers focus on the immune system’s underlying role in maintaining overall health by approaching each patient with a highly individualized immune system evaluation. Dr. Melamed sees patients at IMMUNOe’s following clinic locations: Centennial, Thornton, and Longmont.
Dr. Melamed received his medical degree from the Hebrew University – Hadassah School of Medicine. Thereafter he relocated to Canada, where he completed his post-doctoral fellowship training (Division of Immunology/Allergy) at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada; followed by another fellowship training (Division of Basic Sciences) at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine.
Dr. Melamed has won several awards for his clinical expertise, including Research Award of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology (1993) and Award of Clinical Immunology Society (2002) – to name a few.
Allergy and immunology involves the management of disorders related to the immune system. These conditions range from the very common to the very rare, spanning all ages and encompassing various organ systems. An allergist / immunologist, like Dr. Melamed, is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage allergies, asthma and immunologic disorders including primary immunodeficiency disorders.
