He subsequently completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine/Wake Forest University Medical Center. Licensed to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina, he maintains affiliations with several prominent medical institutions, including Candler Hospital, Memorial Health University Medical Center, and Effingham Health System. Notably, he served as Chief of Staff at Saint Joseph’s Hospital from 2007 to 2009.

On a professional level, he is an active member of several professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, where he holds Fellow status. His commitment to advancing the field of neurological surgery is reflected in his board certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).

A recognized leader in research, Dr. Lindley has served as principal investigator on multiple clinical investigations, including cervical disc replacement and lumbar facet replacement. He made history in 2010 by performing the first posterolateral lumbar disc replacement in the United States in Savannah. His contributions to the medical community have earned him numerous accolades, including the Georgia Medical Society Health Care Heroes Award in 2011 and the Patients’ Choice Award in 2018.

As an author and presenter, he has contributed to the medical literature on topics ranging from degenerative spinal conditions to intracranial aneurysms, solidifying his status as a thought leader in neurosurgery.
