This was followed by an internship in internal medicine at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1992, a residency in ophthalmology at Strong Memorial Hospital in 1996, and a fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina, vitreous, and macula at Eye Consultants of Atlanta in 1997.
Advancing excellence in eye care, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology, an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he is a member of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology, the Vitreous Society, and the Flying Physicians Association.
