Since 1987, Dr. Milbauer, a fellowship-trained dermatologist, has been working with patients to provide the best dermatological care. He is currently affiliated with Saint Clare’s Health in Parsippany, New Jersey.
With over three decades of experience, he has been principal investigator on over 35 drug studies, has been a medical monitor on more than 125 new drug studies, as well as has reviewed and submitted comments to sponsors on approximately 200 protocols.
A 1982 graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Milbauer went on to further his education. He served his residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in 1983, and his fellowship in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in 1986.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), he is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, the largest organ of the body; a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.
