An excellent cardiac anesthesiologist, Dr. Johnson tends to patients at AdventHealth Tampa. He is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of patients who undergo a wide range of cardiac surgeries.
In addition to his role as a cardiac anesthesiologist, he is also a cardiac intensivist at AdventHealth Orlando. In this role, he oversees the postoperative care of patients who have undergone cardiac surgeries such as CABG, valve procedures, heart transplant, lung transplant, LVAD, VA/VV ECMO, and adult congenital heart surgery.
Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Johnson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2007, and graduated with his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2011. After completing his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he went on to complete fellowships at Northwestern University and Duke University.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology and critical care medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery.
