Dr. Klein is an experienced orthopedic surgeon whose areas of interest include treatment for shoulder and elbow instability, arthritis, tendon injuries, complex cases, failed previous surgery, overuse injuries, upper and lower extremity trauma and fracture care, sports injuries, and hip and knee arthritis. He practices at The Carrell Clinic in Dallas and Frisco, Texas.

In his current role, Dr. Klein is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers, including North Central Surgical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, Medical City Dallas, Baylor University Medical Center, Baylor Scott and White Frisco, and Baylor Scott and White Sports Surgery Center at the STAR.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Klein attended Greenhill School and proudly graduated as part of the school’s Forever Club. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in 2008, followed by his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2012. Next, he completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami in 2017, and his shoulder and elbow fellowship at The Rothman Institute/Thomas Jefferson University in 2018. There, he learned the most advanced techniques in modern open reconstructive and arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery from many of the world’s experts. In addition, he published a number of papers within the field of shoulder and elbow and presented his research at conferences across the country.
Board-eligible in orthopedic surgery, the doctor’s interest in orthopedic surgery has many origins. As a young kid, Dr. Klein loved rounding on patients and attending high school football games with his father, Dr. Jeffrey Klein, his role model and a well-respected Orthopedic surgeon in Garland, Texas. Next, he overcame his own set of knee and elbow injuries sustained while playing tennis, baseball, and football that ultimately required the excellent, personalized care of The Carrell Clinic physicians and staff. Watching his father counsel patients at the time of their injuries as well as learning from his own experiences with injury ultimately inspired his pursuit of a career in the field of orthopedic surgery.
For the purpose of advancing his professional development, he remains a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Texas Medical Association, the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Dallas County Medical Society, the American Orthopedic Association, the Texas Orthopedic Association, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and AO Trauma.
Orthopedic Surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system.
