Dr. Chintaparthi is a fellowship-trained endocrinologist who diagnoses, treats, and manages endocrine disorders, or those affecting the body’s secretion of hormones such as thyroid problems or diabetes. He is affiliated with a group of hospitals in Indiana that are a part of the Community Health Network, including Community Hospital South, Community Hospital North, and Community Hospital East.

Upon relocating to the United States, he served his residency in internal medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital in 2012, and his fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2014.

A Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE), Dr. Chintaparthi is board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism & internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Furthermore, he is board-certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). The ABOM is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing obesity medicine. 

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrinologists have the training to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the body. The common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus, as well as adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders, among others.
