With a broad educational background, Dr. Sandhu graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry with Biological Specialization from Duke University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in 1986.

Furthering his training, he performed his residency in radiology at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center in 1991, his fellowship in body imaging at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center in 1992, and his fellowship in interventional radiology at Emory University Hospital in 1993.

Demonstrating competence, Dr. Sandhu is board-certified in vascular and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

For the purpose of advancing his professional development, he remains an active member of the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Connecticut Radiological Society, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Interventional Radiology.

Locally, Dr. Sandhu is affiliated with Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital.
