Dr. Kirk is board-certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). Surgeons certified by the ABS, known as diplomates, have completed at least 5 years of residency training following medical school, met all ABS training requirements, and successfully completed the ABS examination process. As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Kirk is trained to evaluate and treat complications and diseases of the circulatory system including arteries, veins, and blood vessels. He may offer a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments, including the removal of plaque from arteries, treatment of varicose veins, and surgery to prevent aneurysms, heart attacks or coronary artery disease, among others.
