He completed his residency program in internal medicine at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and his residency in diagnostic radiology at UCLA Medical Center. Additionally, he completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at UCLA.
As a testament to his success, he is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Licensed by the Medical Board of California, Dr. Chang is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Los Angeles Radiological Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Radiological Society of North America.
Interventional radiology is a medical subspecialty that performs various minimally-invasive procedures using medical imaging guidance, such as x-ray fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, or ultrasound. Interventional radiologists use x-rays, CT, MRI or other imaging guidance to navigate small instruments, like catheters and needles, through blood vessels and organs to treat a variety of diseases.
