Jessica is a board-certified nurse practitioner with nearly 17 years of nursing experience, including four years in a hospital surgical environment, and ten years in nephrology demonstrating a career-long commitment to providing safe, patient-focused, and cost-effective healthcare.

Her duties and responsibilities include following strict safety procedures such as double-checking medication dosages before giving them to patients; communicating information about care and medications to patients and caregivers in a clear and understandable manner; treating patients by giving them various medications and treatments; collaborating with physicians and other clinical staff to plan treatment, implement interventions, and improve the continuum of care to provide comprehensive services; maintaining strict patient data procedures to comply with HIPAA laws and prevent data breaches; responding to emergency situations quickly, expertly, and calmly to provide the best possible care, support, and life-saving interventions; using the facility’s EMR system to update patient records, transmit prescriptions, and transfer file; keeping track of surgical patients and providing high-quality care before, during, and after operations to ensure a positive outcome; organizing and managing the care of patients undergoing various therapies and procedures, such as general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and other indicated procedures; giving medications and treatments to patients and tracking their responses while collaborating with healthcare teams to adjust treatment plans; and maintaining the highest levels of patient satisfaction, generating referrals to keep the surgery department productive.

Back in 2005, Jessica graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from San Juan De Dios College in the Philippines. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree (Family Nurse Practitioner Program) from Chamberlain University in 2022.

Holding certification in Basic Life Support (not intended for postnominal use), she is also an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

A type A person, Jessica wants to be successful in all that she does. She LOVES being a nurse, and found her passion taking care of others. There are so many different fields one can go into as a nurse, and she is very interested in teaching new nurses in her future.
