Back in 1982, Dr. Fisher earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in a combined six-year B.A./M.D. program through Lehigh University. She continued her training with an internship at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. She also completed a mini-fellowship in basic/advanced LASIK surgery.
In addition to being certified to perform cosmetic services including Botox, Juvederm, and Voluma, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of ophthalmic practice through a process of certification and Maintenance of Certification that fosters excellence and encourages continual learning.
Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Ophthalmologists are experts in the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye. In her personal life, she lives in Huntingdon Valley with her husband and three sons. To stay physically fit, she enjoys running, swimming, and playing tennis.
