Joelle is an established registered nurse & legal nurse consultant specializing in medical-surgical nursing and staff nursing. Since 2007, she has been in practice with Christiana Care Health System, a network of private, non-profit hospitals providing health care services to all of the U.S. state of Delaware and portions of seven counties bordering the state in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey. 

Considered an asset to Christiana Care, she manages the care of the adult and elderly patients experiencing general medical conditions and general surgical procedures. These patients require general assessments related to the specific conditions, and she provides the general therapies and interventions.

Attributing her success in the challenging field that she chose to practice in as the result of her dedication and hard work, Joelle received her nursing degree in 2002 and practiced at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Wesley College in 2011, followed by her Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Widener University in 2014. 

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license. RNs fulfill a variety of job duties. In addition to their primary role in treating and caring for patients, their responsibilities also include educating patients and the public about a variety of medical conditions, as well as providing emotional support and advice to the families of their patients. Other RN job functions include leadership, research, performing diagnostic tests and analyzing results, operating medical equipment, administering medications, recording patients’ symptoms and medical histories, and assisting with patient rehabilitation and follow-up.

Legal nurse consulting is the analysis and evaluation of facts and testimony and the rendering of informed opinions related to the delivery of nursing and other healthcare services and outcomes, and the nature and cause of injuries. A Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC) is a registered nurse who uses expertise as a health care provider and specialized training to consult on medical-related legal cases.
